Centennial Service Challenge
For nearly 100 years, Lions have served their communities with dedication and contributed to the development and well-being of millions of people around the world. To celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are asking Lions to help reach our Centennial Service Challenge goal of serving more than 100 million people by June 2018.
Your club can make a difference in your community and contribute towards the goal by participating in the Centennial Service Challenge Campaigns. You decide when to serve and which projects are right for your club and community.
Centennial Community Legacy Projects
Connect with your community and build your Lion legacy by planning a Centennial Community Legacy Project during our Centennial Celebration. Legacy Projects are visible gifts to your community that commemorate our Centennial and create a lasting legacy of your service contributions.
Your Legacy Project will serve as a reminder of just how important your club is to the community during the Centennial and beyond. All Lions clubs around the world are encouraged to complete a Legacy Project by June 30, 2018, so start planning yours today!
Centennial Membership Awards
The Centennial Celebration Membership Awards provides all Lions and Lions clubs the opportunity to earn special Limited Edition awards for inviting new members and helping to organise new clubs.

Centennial Grant Program
Lions Clubs International is providing grants to multiple districts and single districts to enhance local centennial plans and celebrations. Grant funding is based upon the guidelines of not to exceed US$1,500 per district within a multiple district. Regardless of the number of districts, no multiple district will be eligible for more than US$15,000. Single districts (not part of a multiple district) will be eligible for up to US$2,500.
Centennial grants to promote multiple/single district wide programs will be considered on a first come, first served basis. The grants are designed to assist multiple or single districts in raising public awareness of Lions and Lions programs during our Centennial period, beginning July 1st 2015, and ending June 30th, 2018.
Grant applications must be submitted to the public relations division at Lions Clubs International. The last date to submit Centennial Grant applications is March 31, 2018. The public relations committee of the Lions Clubs International Board of Directors will review grant applications at each of the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meetings (held three times per year) and make a recommendation to the Board for approval.
